Fee for Credit Card or Electronic Check

A processing fee of 2 ½ percent or $2.50 (whichever is greater) will be charged to use a credit card. You may also pay using ACH (electronic check) for a fee of $.75.

Prepayment coupons are provided upon request to make prepayments toward current year real property taxes. Coupons will be mailed approximately January 15 to those requesting them either by telephone or by marking the appropriate box on the property tax notice and returning the stub attached to the property tax notice to the Treasurer’s office. Coupons are provided for monthly payments February through October. The monthly payment amount is based on the prior year’s tax amount. The Property Tax Notice mailed in October will indicate total payments made and the balance owing.

Please note that coupons are not are not required to make a property tax payment. However, to ensure payments are applied to the proper parcel, a parcel number is requested.

Any payment over the actual tax amount will be applied to the subsequent year’s taxes unless a refund is requested. Any payment less than the actual amount will be shown on the Property Tax Notice.
